What’s New (& Free) On Tubi TV For September, 2017

Tubi TV, the largest truly free Internet TV network with no subscription fee requirement, today announced a new slate of September titles. These audience favorites join the largest free collection of premium and unique movies and TV shows available anywhere, featuring Oscar-winning films and Emmy-winning TV shows that span genres from comedy, drama, family & kids, classics and horror, to niche segments such as Korean, Chinese and British TV series.

Jennifer Westfeldt’s Friends with Kids (2012) brings the laughs with some of Hollywood’s funniest actors, including Kristin Wiig, Jon Hamm, Adam Scott, Chris O’Dowd and Maya Rudolph. Wiig’s fans get a second dose of the actress with The Skeleton Twins (2014), the indie comedy that pairs her with fellow Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader.

For those looking for more serious fare, Tom Ford’s stylish debut A Single Man (2009) earned wide praise for its director and for actor Colin Firth, who received an Oscar nomination. Tommy Lee Jones takes roles in front of and behind the camera for sophomore directorial effort The Homesman (2014), which features a solid performance from Hillary Swank. Jones also stars in contemporary drama The Company Men (2011), alongside Ben Affleck and Chris Cooper. Wong Kar-Wai’s Oscar nominee The Grandmaster (2013) is a stunning mix of martial arts action and period drama.

British TV fans have two recent series to binge, now on Tubi TV. Over five seasons, The IT Crowd (2006-2014) explores the hilarity of a technical support team with career-making performances from Chris O’Dowd, Richard Ayoade and Katherine Parkinson. Merlin (2008-2012) tells the tale of King Arthur from the young wizard’s perspective and stars Colin Morgan and John Hurt.
