What’s New (& Free) On Tubi TV For December 2017

Tubi TV, the largest truly free Internet TV network with no subscription fee requirement, today announced a new slate of December titles. These audience favorites join the largest free collection of premium and unique movies and TV shows available anywhere, featuring Oscar-winning films and Emmy-winning TV shows that span genres from comedy, drama, family & kids, classics and horror, to niche segments such as Korean, Chinese and British TV series.

History–making Oscar winner The Hurt Locker (2008) returns to Tubi, along with director KathrynBigelow’s early film Blue Steel (1990). As Mr. Brooks (2007), Kevin Costner plays against type for the disturbing thriller. 

Beyond Bigelow’s work, audiences looking for more films directed by women can watch Nadine Labaki’s Caramel (2007) and Kate Barker-Froyland’s Song One (2014). Tubi will also have Mira Nair’s Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996), Rachel Talalay’s Tank Girl (1995) and Katja von Garnier’s Blood and Chocolate (2007).

Recent Rotten Tomatoes favorites arrive on Tubi, including 99% fresh Short Term 12 (2013), which features Oscar winner Brie Larson and Emmy winner Rami Malek before they took home gold. Audiences get a look at the real man behind Dog Day Afternoon in 91% fresh documentary The Dog (2013), and Dutch psychological creeper Borgman (2013) earned an 86% during its festival and theatrical run.

Viewers looking for time-tested classics can celebrate Woody Allen’s December 1birthday with Manhattan (1979). Cinephiles can also enjoy George Miller’s Mad Max (1980) and haunted house essential The Amityville Horror (1979).
